Description
A balanced savory weight and textured rooibos tannin assure the development of further complexity. Lithe yet powerfully built. The smooth, creamy center is tightly wrapped by saline acidity, driving an energetic and pure lifted finish. Best from 2027 until at least 2031.
Pairs beautifully with roast duck and game meats.
Sharp focus is placed on the separation of pressing fractions, which are matured apart and mostly not included in the final cuvee. Blended after 11 months maturation in French oak, 28% of which were new. Bottled following 4 months elevage, in May 2023.

Bouchard Finlayson’s flagship wine is the Galpin Peak Pinot Noir, which has won many an award and accolade. Growing on the slopes of Galpin Peak, repeated vintages of this path-blazing wine continue to reflect a true celebration of Pinot-crafting, consistently endorsing the Hemel-en-Aarde Valley as a jewel in the hunt for this illusive grape. Bouchard Finlayson is renowned as one of South Africa’s top wineries and this can be attributed to their philosophy and focus to produce wines of the finest quality.
