Description
Fresh and aromatic, the nose brings together caramelized pear and orange peel with delicate apple and citrus blossom, followed by plenty of ripe tropical fruit. The palate is juicy and refreshing, with bright acidity balancing its generous fruit and gentle sweetness. Easygoing but recognizably vinous, it's an appealing option for anyone looking to moderate their alcohol intake without giving up the ritual of opening and sharing a bottle of wine.
Enjoy well chilled on its own, or pair with fresh salads, delicate soups, sushi, grilled fish, shellfish, lightly spiced dishes, and other fresh seafood.
Once the winemaking team is satisfied with the finished wine, the alcohol is carefully removed through vacuum distillation at low temperatures. Working under vacuum allows alcohol to be removed at a lower temperature, helping retain more of the wine's original aromas and flavors. The result is a genuine de-alcoholized wine rather than a beverage that has never undergone fermentation.
Winemaker: Eugene van Zyl
The Natura range takes a particularly wine-focused approach to the category: the wines undergo traditional alcoholic fermentation first, with the alcohol only removed once the winemaker is satisfied with the quality. This helps retain the flavor, aroma, and character of the original wine while bringing the final alcohol level below 0.5% ABV.
