The Uva Mira “The Dance” Cabernet Franc 2023 is a focused, site-driven expression crafted from the elevated slopes of the Helderberg Mountains. Produced as a single varietal to showcase the purity of this mountain vineyard, it reflects both precision and a strong sense of place.
The nose is lifted and refined, revealing aromas of redcurrant, raspberry, and black cherry, layered with subtle notes of violet, graphite, and dried herbs. On the palate, the wine is elegant and structured, with a fine tannin framework supporting a core of bright red fruit. There is a natural freshness and linearity throughout, leading to a long, composed finish with delicate spice and mineral nuance.
This is a poised and expressive Cabernet Franc, ideal with roast lamb, duck, mushroom dishes, and herb-driven cuisine.

The 2022 season offered near-perfect conditions—cold winter, generous rainfall, and a cool, steady ripening period. Snow capped the Helderberg, moisture levels stayed ideal, and slower development allowed for berries with remarkable concentration and finesse. It’s one of the finest vintages we’ve seen, delivering purity, structure, and the distinct elegance of our mountain site.
