Description
The wine displays a deep ruby colour with a vibrant Morello cherry rim. The nose is beautifully layered, revealing aromas of dark cherry, blackberry, cocoa bean, soft leather, clove, black peppercorn, and subtle charcoal nuances. On the palate, the wine is remarkably polished, with silky tannins supporting a core of ripe black and red fruit. Notes of warm spice, cassis, and cocoa unfold through the mid-palate before leading to a long, refined finish marked by purity, balance, and finesse.
The 2014 vintage is widely regarded as one of the finest releases of The Jem and is drinking beautifully today. With more than a decade of bottle age, the wine has begun to reveal additional layers of complexity while retaining the structure and freshness needed for further cellaring.
A magnificent pairing for beef fillet, lamb, venison, game dishes, and mature hard cheeses.
Following maturation, the final blend was assembled and bottle-aged before release, allowing the components to integrate seamlessly into a wine of exceptional balance and longevity.
