Ernie Els Signature 2021 is a masterfully crafted Stellenbosch red blend, deep garnet in color with a plush plum core. Aromas of cedar, graphite, and subtle ink frame layers of blackcurrant, ripe plum, and dark cherry. The palate is rich and full-bodied, with concentrated fruit wrapped in polished, fine-grained tannins. With graceful bottle age, it delivers silky texture and bright notes of redcurrant and cranberry, finishing long, dry, and impeccably balanced. A collectible wine of elegance and depth.
Grown on our north-facing Helderberg slopes in Stellenbosch, the grapes benefit from cool Atlantic breezes and slow, even ripening. Hand-harvested early morning, whole berries fermented in open-top tanks with gentle punch-downs to preserve elegance and structure. Select batches underwent extended maceration, then matured separately in French oak to highlight each variety’s character. Final blending captures the depth, balance, and ageability we strive for in this flagship Bordeaux-style red.
