In the cellar
Crafted with care from hand-harvested grapes grown on diverse Constantia soils, this red blend reflects the cool Atlantic-influenced climate and meticulous vineyard practices.
Fermented in stainless steel with regular pump overs to enhance flavor and structure, each component matured for 12 months in a mix of French oak - only 10% new - to preserve fruit purity. Thoughtful blending after barrel aging ensures balance, elegance, and a true expression of Constantia’s historic terroir.

About the Winery
Groot Constantia’s revered history tells us how a man’s love of wine established the first wine farm in South Africa. By going back 300 years, we come to understand how 891 morgen of land created the origins of the South African wine industry, and how every owner thereafter contributed to what we know as Groot Constantia today.
