Description

The wine opens with an aromatic nose, offering enticing black cherry fruit alongside hints of spice, vanilla, and subtle oak. These layered aromas set the stage for a rich yet refined experience, blending fruit and spice with just the right touch of oak influence.

On the palate, it presents as full-bodied but maintains an elegance and maturity, driven primarily by its fruit-forward character. Blackberries and cassis take center stage, followed by nuanced notes of white chocolate, cigar box, and light pencil shavings. Subtle tannins enhance the structure, lingering with sweet red berry flavors for a satisfying finish.
The grapes were hand-harvested from various vineyards at between 24.9° and 25.4° Balling. The grapes were destemmed, then sorted and pumped into stainless steel tanks. The grapes were fermented at 24 °C. The juice was pumped over the skins daily to extract color, tannins and flavor.

The wine was racked off the skins and malolactic fermentation was completed, partially in barrels and in tanks. The wine was then racked and transferred to 300 liter French oak barrels (New, 2nd fill and 3rd fill) to mature for 16 to 22months.
