Description
The nose is intensely expressive, revealing aromas of cassis, ripe red berries, bramble fruit, vanilla pod, dark chocolate, and warm spice, layered with subtle herbal and flinty mineral notes. The palate is powerful yet remarkably polished, opening with a silky texture before building into concentrated flavors of blackcurrant, blackberry, and classic Cabernet cassis. Fine-grained tannins provide structure without heaviness, while the wine’s freshness and mineral precision carry through to an exceptionally long, persistent finish.
The outstanding 2021 vintage is widely regarded as one of the finest recent years in Stellenbosch, combining concentration, freshness, and exceptional balance. While already impressive in its youth, this wine has the structure and pedigree to reward long-term cellaring for decades to come.
A world-class Cabernet Sauvignon that pairs beautifully with beef fillet, prime rib, venison, lamb, and aged hard cheeses.
Following fermentation, the wine was matured for 18 months in French oak barrels, with 80% new oak providing structure and complexity. From a total of 35 barrels, only the best five barrels were selected for the final Laurence Graff blend, highlighting the estate’s uncompromising commitment to quality.
