Mulberry and bright cassis notes combine with fresh cranberry and mulberry nuances. The nose finishes with mineral dark chocolate and cedarwood aromas. A rich palate with great texture and velvet mid-palate tannins. The lush and aromatic finish ends with great poise.
Handpicked grapes were transported to the cellar for crushing. Whole berry fermentation commenced in oak casks and stainless-steel tanks. Twice daily pump-overs ensured the delicate extraction of tannins and flavours. Prolonged skin contact of approximately 14 days were given after fermentation, before pressing. Malo-lactic fermentation followed in 300L French oak barrels. This wine was matured for 17months in barrel, with 40% new oak used.
