Bright, aromatic, and coastal in character, the 2024 Bouchard Finlayson Sauvignon Blanc reflects the cool climate and shale-rich soils of the Hemel-en-Aarde Valley. Just five kilometers from the Atlantic Ocean, this site delivers freshness and balance with tropical tones. The nose bursts with fig, gooseberry, and a whisper of thyme, while the palate shows green apple, grapefruit, and lemony tension. Fleshy yet refined, it finishes with purity and length. A vibrant South African Sauvignon Blanc perfect for summer sipping.
Despite a challenging season with heavy rains and low yields, the 2024 vintage delivered small, concentrated berries with exceptional purity. Hand-harvested fruit was gently destemmed, crushed, and blanketed with CO₂ to protect aromatics. Only the first 63% free-run juice—low in phenolics and high in freshness—was used for this Sauvignon Blanc. Fermented at cool temperatures (13–20°C), it captures bright acidity, layered aromatics, and a clean, age-worthy profile. Bottled in June 2024.
