A beautifully balanced dry rosé crafted from Mourvèdre and Grenache Noir. Bursting with ripe strawberry and raspberry aromas, it’s layered with floral hints and a touch of dried herbs. On the palate, bright red fruit meets savoury depth, delivering a fresh, textured mouthfeel and refined finish. This elegant rosé is a versatile companion to light meals or perfect for sipping on its own—proof that serious wine can still be seriously refreshing.
Handpicked in the cool of early morning from our granite-rich, south-facing vineyards, these grapes were gently destemmed, crushed, and pressed to preserve freshness and delicacy. Fermented naturally with wild yeasts in a mix of stainless steel and seasoned French oak, the wine was left on fine lees to build texture and complexity before bottling—capturing the vibrant purity we love in a world-class rosé.

De Morgenzon, ‘the morning sun,’ was so named as it is the first part of the Stellenboschkloof valley to see the sun because of its high altitude and aspects. Their slopes rise from about 200m to nearly 400m above sea level and their vistas embrace Cape Town, Table Mountain, Cape Point, Cape Hangklip, the Hottentots Holland mountains, Helderberg and Simonsberg with the ocean as a backdrop. The reputation of Wendy and Hylton Applebaum’s estate continues its ascent - one regularly marked by genuinely prestigious international and local awards.
