The 2023 Gouverneurs Reserve White from Groot Constantia is an expressive and elegant white blend that showcases ripe tropical fruit notes of lychee and passionfruit, lifted by citrus layers of orange zest, lemon, and lime. Gentle oak aging in 500L French barrels adds richness with nuances of honey and toasted almonds. The palate is fresh and vibrant, unfolding with citrus and elderflower, balanced by refined acidity and a textured finish. Built to evolve gracefully over time.
Our 2023 Gouverneurs Reserve White was crafted from hand-harvested Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon grown on southeast-facing slopes between 50–240m above sea level. Each batch was vinified separately, then matured on lees in French oak barrels—50% new—for 10 months to build depth and texture. After bottling, the wine rested for 12 more months, allowing elegance and complexity to fully develop before release. A true expression of Constantia’s cool, coastal terroir.
