Deep, dark, and beautifully expressive, this Franschhoek red blend layers black cherry, raspberry, and cedar with hints of cherry pipe tobacco and spice. Silky tannins and a velvety mid-palate lead to a long, elegant finish with notes of cassis, nutmeg, and black pepper. Crafted from estate-grown fruit in a standout vintage, it’s a bold yet refined South African red wine. For collectors and lovers of age-worthy reds, this blend offers both immediate pleasure and cellaring potential.
The 2015 vintage gave us beautifully concentrated, estate-grown fruit—some of the best I’ve seen in years. Each variety was handpicked and sorted, with only the ripest berries selected from our top vineyard blocks. Fermentation was wild and spontaneous, preserving the wine’s true character, with 15% barrel-fermented in new French oak for added depth. This limited-production red blend reflects both the power of the vintage and the precision of our cellar craft.
