Elegant and expressive, this Single Block Chenin Blanc from L’Avenir opens with white blossoms, lemon zest, and a whisper of honey on the nose. The palate is richly layered yet refined, offering vibrant citrus, subtle oak, and a beautifully balanced acidity. Its generous texture and concentration create a lasting impression, making it a standout Stellenbosch white. A perfect match for pan-seared scallops, steamed cod, or indulgent seafood dishes.
The 2023 vintage delivered pristine fruit from old vines rooted in poor soils beside a cool lake on L’Avenir Estate. After five hours of skin contact, fermentation began in stainless steel before being transferred to seasoned French oak barrels, where the wine matured on its lees for 14 months. Gentle battonage added depth and texture, crafting a Chenin Blanc with elegance, natural acidity, and concentrated flavor—true to its site and season.
