Silky, ripe, and effortlessly drinkable, the Lanzerac Merlot 2023 pours a deep garnet red and opens with aromas of juicy red berries, cocoa, mint, and a whisper of dark chocolate. On the palate, it’s plush and full-bodied, with soft tannins and a rich, lingering finish. Crafted in the heart of Stellenbosch, this Merlot pairs beautifully with veal chops, gnocchi in red pepper sauce, or a creamy Gruyère and parmesan risotto. A classic, elevated.
Crafted from four meticulously farmed Stellenbosch blocks, this Merlot was hand-harvested, double-sorted, and gently fermented in stainless steel. A mix of free-run juice and barrel-fermented portions aged 12 months in French oak, ensuring a perfect harmony of ripe fruit, supple tannins, and elegant oak integration.
