A bold Marlborough classic with a coastal twist. Bursting with juicy passionfruit and grapefruit, this Sauvignon Blanc delivers mouth-watering vibrancy from first sip to finish. Layers of ripe peach meet a saline minerality and subtle chalky texture, all balanced by zesty acidity that keeps it fresh and focused. Crisp, coastal, and utterly refreshing, it’s the kind of white wine that begs for sunny days, seafood platters, or just a second glass.
Picked at peak ripeness, our Sauvignon Blanc grapes were gently pressed and cold-settled before fermenting with aromatic yeast strains to preserve vibrancy. A small portion aged in barrels and large-format oak adds texture and complexity. The hot, dry 2024 vintage delivered smaller yields, but with exceptional fruit concentration and beautifully balanced natural acidity.

The 1990s were a time of discovery and courage in Marlborough. Deep in the Waihopai Valley, Bryan and Jan Johnson had the audacity to establish 180 hectares of estate vineyards on land considered too hard, too dry and too unfertile for wine. It was a venture that started with a passion for the land. This pioneering spirit established one of New Zealand’s most successful family-run wineries, now exporting eight varietals to 35 countries.
