Our 2023 Semillon showcases a beautiful pale gold color. Aromas of cinnamon, dried apricot, and orange blossom greet you upon first impression, accompanied by notes of nectarine, dusty road, and Golden Delicious apples. The palate reflects much of the same fruit profile as the nose, enhanced by distinct custard and vanilla pod characteristics.
The wine offers poised, concentrated fruit on the mid-palate, which broadens into a rich, almost waxy texture complemented by bright acidity. A lingering finish of citrus and floral spice adds elegance and depth. This Semillon will continue to evolve in complexity and richness with age, promising an even more rewarding experience over time.

After an extended, cool ripening season, our Semillon was harvested at the end of February 2023 at an average of 24°B, creating a fuller, more rounded wine. The grapes were crushed and de-stemmed without prolonged skin contact. The clean juice was racked after settling overnight in stainless steel tanks.
Fermentation occurred in a variety of large-format French oak barrels, followed by an additional 3 months on the gross lees to enhance texture and complexity. After fermentation, the wine aged for another 10 months in a combination of 20% new, 20% second-fill, and the remainder in third-fill 500L and 600L French oak barrels. It was then racked into a stainless steel tank, lightly fined, and stabilized before being bottled in January 2023.
