Superb tension is beautifully balanced by bright acidity and dense chalky tannins, creating a harmonious structure. Lush red and black fruit charm is complemented by spiciness, tobacco leaf, and chalky graphite, with hints of purple florals emerging as it evolves. A slight creamy texture adds depth to the bone-dry finish. This seamless, pleasure-packed wine offers excellent aging potential, promising even greater complexity over time.
A warmer February prompted the earlier harvesting of some cultivars, while rain and cooler conditions in March slowed the ripening of red wine varietals. This extended the harvest period, resulting in grapes with relatively lower sugar levels. The wine was matured for 17 months in French oak barrels, enhancing its complexity and depth.
