Its structure is both elegant and refined, with a dry, tightly knit profile that offers a balanced, lingering finish. The warm undertones and subtle aromatics add a classical touch, while the soft, textured palate makes each sip inviting and satisfying. Perfectly enjoyable now, this wine also has the aging potential to develop further complexity over the next 15 years.
It was a good long winter, but late rains and cold delayed pruning. Superb, windless conditions experienced for flowering resulted in a high-yield vintage. The February temperatures were extremely hot pushing ripening which made for a quick harvest. One of the highest recorded tonnages for the Waterford Estate.
