Bright ruby garnet in the glass, this expressive Franschhoek Merlot offers aromas of ripe red berries and fresh cherries, with subtle earthy undertones. On the palate, it’s vibrant and grippy, unfolding with tart red berry and sour cherry flavors that linger through a refreshing, textured finish. Crafted from carefully selected grapes and aged for 12 months in seasoned French oak, this Merlot is approachable yet structured. A perfect match for lamb shank or richly spiced Cape Malay cuisine. Drink now through 2026.
We handpicked only the finest Merlot grapes at peak tannin ripeness, gently crushed and fermented them in small open-top fermenters to preserve purity of fruit. After fermentation, the wine matured for 12 months in seasoned third-fill French oak barrels, allowing it to develop elegance, subtle spice, and balanced structure without overpowering the vibrant red fruit character.
