Bright and inviting, the Groot Constantia Rosé 2024 is a refined expression of Constantia’s cool coastal terroir. On the nose, it charms with delicate aromas of wild strawberry, honeydew melon, and pink citrus, lifted by subtle floral notes of orange blossom and a playful hint of candyfloss. The palate is fresh and vibrant, offering clean fruit purity and a silky texture balanced by a crisp, mouthwatering acidity. A dry, elegant finish makes this rosé the perfect companion for warm days or light meals.
Harvested between mid-January and late March, our grapes were gently picked at optimal ripeness and cold fermented in stainless steel to preserve fresh aromatics. Following fermentation, the wine rested on its lees for two months to enhance texture and complexity. Grown in granite-rich soils under a cool Atlantic breeze, and managed with care by hand, this rosé reflects our passion for elegant, terroir-driven winemaking rooted in sustainability and precision.

Groot Constantia’s revered history tells us how a man’s love of wine established the first wine farm in South Africa. By going back 300 years, we come to understand how 891 morgen of land created the origins of the South African wine industry, and how every owner thereafter contributed to what we know as Groot Constantia today.
