Savory nose with floral hints of dried violets and wild strawberries, combined with cinnamon and nutmeg. Ripe and bold dark fruit with spicy notes, reminiscent of a Cornas or Hermitage style, with black pepper, rounded tannins, and a long, powerful finish.
Hand-selected bunches of our most concentrated, ripe Syrah were cold macerated over an extended period before barrel fermentation. Thirty percent was whole-bunch fermented using wild yeast in 500L French oak barrels. Maturation continued for 24 months in the same barrels, with 70% in second- and third-fill French oak barrels (225L). Decant before serving. Offers good aging potential.
