A refined Rhône-style blend from South Africa, this Syrah/Viognier offers rich dark berry flavors, subtle spice, and a touch of floral elegance. The Syrah brings structure and depth, while Viognier adds aromatic lift and finesse. With a smooth, lingering finish, it’s a versatile companion to grilled meats, duck, venison, charcuterie, spiced dishes, and berry-based sauces—perfect for those seeking a distinctive, food-friendly red with character and charm.
The grapes were hand-sorted for precision, then fermented without stems to highlight purity of fruit. Gentle pump-overs at 25°C encouraged flavour and colour extraction. After 15 days’ maceration, the wine was matured for 14 months in 300L French oak barrels — 55% new — before blending and returning to barrel for 4 more months. Bottled in November 2018, this wine reflects our dedication to balance, structure, and age-worthy elegance.
