The Marianne Floreal 2021 is the flagship red of the estate, a Bordeaux-inspired blend that brings together Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Syrah in a wine built for both presence and longevity. Sourced from the slopes of Simonsberg-Paarl, it reflects Marianne’s French roots and commitment to structure, balance, and expressive fruit.
The nose is layered and complex, revealing dried black fruits, cracked black pepper, and subtle floral notes, with a gentle oak influence adding depth. On the palate, the wine is smooth yet structured, with a generous, rounded mid-palate supported by fine, persistent tannins. Rich in color and concentration, the wine carries through to a long, poised finish, where dark fruit, spice, and oak integrate seamlessly.
A serious and cellar-worthy red, Floreal delivers immediate impact while offering the structure to evolve beautifully over time.

Following harvest, the grapes were cooled to approximately 10°C, with skins and juice left in contact in French oak fermentation tanks for around 10 days, enhancing color stability and depth of flavor. After fermentation, extended maceration of up to four weeks allowed for further development of structure and complexity.
The wine was then matured for 16–22 months in French oak barrels, with 60% new oak, striking a balance between structure and fruit expression. This careful oak regime allows for tannin integration and mid-palate richness, while preserving the integrity and vibrancy of the fruit.
