Crafted from premium Stellenbosch terroir, this benchmark South African Cabernet Franc is a masterclass in elegance and aromatic complexity. The Raats Family Cabernet Franc 2020 opens with wild Cape fynbos, rosemary, and lavender, lifted by warm spice notes of nutmeg and star anise. On the palate, intense blackberry fruit meets graphite and a mineral backbone, delivering layered depth and a finish that lingers with poise and power. This is a soulful, age-worthy expression of Cabernet Franc at its finest.
After meticulous triple hand-sorting, our grapes were gently crushed and allowed a five-day cold soak to extract deep color and aromatics. Fermentation peaked at 28°C before basket pressing for finesse. Malolactic fermentation followed in stainless steel to preserve purity and vibrancy.
