Brimming with character and Stellenbosch soul, this Tokara Shiraz 2022 pours a deep cherry hue with a glint of brilliance on the rim. On the nose, vivid layers of high-toned red berries unfold into darker fruits and a whisper of spice. The palate is vibrant yet polished—wild berries, pink peppercorns, and a touch of oak toast come together with fine, plush tannins and a long, dry finish. It’s a Shiraz that balances freshness with intensity, perfect for slow-roasted pork loin, pan-seared duck breast, or enjoyed solo, slightly chilled for summer sipping.
Crafted from Stellenbosch and Durbanville fruit, this Shiraz sees 25% whole bunch fermentation for structure and spice. After cold soak and gentle fermentation in foudre and stainless steel, the wine matures for 10 months in 20% new French oak. Aged a further 6 months in tank for purity and integration before bottling, it shows elegance, vibrant fruit, and fine tannin polish.
