Crafted in the elegant Right Bank Bordeaux style, De Toren Z is a polished, ruby-hued blend of all five noble Bordeaux varietals. Silky and supple on the palate, it reveals layers of ripe raspberry, tangy cranberry, and subtle notes of aniseed and liquorice. Bright acidity gives it lift, while the fine-grained tannins and refined structure lead to a beautifully poised finish. This is a wine of harmony and finesse—approachable in youth, yet capable of graceful aging.
Aged for 12 months in 225L French and American oak barrels, our Malbec shines with added richness from American oak. Stored at 16°C with 80% humidity to ensure slow, even maturation. Decant for at least an hour to unlock full flavor expression, and serve at 15–18°C for peak enjoyment.

De Toren is a South African boutique Private Cellar with breathtaking vistas extending from Table Mountain in the West, Cape Point in the South, False Bay, Hang Klip and ends with Helderberg and Stellenbosch Mountains in the East. The farm was named De Toren, which translated from Dutch means "the tower," and refers to the winery structure which allows for gravity-flow winemaking.
