De Toren

De Toren is a South African boutique Private Cellar with breathtaking vistas extending from Table Mountain in the West, Cape Point in the South, False Bay, Hang Klip and ends with Helderberg and Stellenbosch Mountains in the East. The farm was named De Toren, which translated from Dutch means "the tower," and refers to the winery structure which allows for gravity-flow winemaking. Driven by a pioneering spirit, De Toren's team sought to reinterpret the concept of Bordeaux wines, and simultaneously became South Africa's very first gravity-fed cellar. Renowned for their exceptional care and making use of only the gentlest processes both in vineyard and cellar, the result of this labour of love is a range of spectacular wines, awarded with many honorary titles over the years.
