Simonsig Redhill Pinotage 2016 from Stellenbosch is a bold and beautifully crafted South African red wine with richness, depth, and layered complexity. In the glass, it shows an inky black centre with a bright rim, hinting at both concentration and vibrancy. The nose reveals attractive blackberry and bramble flavours, lifted by notes of tobacco and warming spice that add character and intrigue. On the palate, vivacious layers of dark fruit and cedar oak create a full-bodied wine with lush texture and impressive structure. Tightly knitted tannins carry the wine through a long, polished finish, where supple fruit notes continue to unfold. Powerful yet refined, Simonsig Redhill Pinotage 2016 is a multifaceted Stellenbosch red wine that showcases the depth and elegance this variety can achieve.
