Light garnet in color, it opens with perfumed aromas of violet, rose petal, and black cherry, underpinned by graphite and fresh tobacco leaf. On the palate, bright red fruit and crushed cherry unfold with purity and poise, layered over fine tannins and a mineral core. Stylish, structured, and age-worthy.
The 2022 season offered near-perfect conditions—cold winter, generous rainfall, and a cool, steady ripening period. Snow capped the Helderberg, moisture levels stayed ideal, and slower development allowed for berries with remarkable concentration and finesse. It’s one of the finest vintages we’ve seen, delivering purity, structure, and the distinct elegance of our mountain site.

Uva Mira Mountain Vineyards is nestled against the Helderberg Nature Reserve in Stellenbosch. With breathtaking views of False Bay and Table Bay, often wrapped in clouds, a cool climate, sea breezes, a granite foundation and strong minerality of the soil, enhanced by acres of fynbos.... nature does her work. The position at altitude with vineyards as high as 620 metres above sea level creates the climate for wines that are elegant in style.
