Deep and expressive, this Stellenbosch Cabernet Sauvignon opens with bold aromas of blackcurrant, wild fynbos, and a whisper of granite-driven minerality—an unmistakable signature of its Helderberg roots. The palate is layered and balanced, where vibrant acidity lifts concentrated dark fruit while classical, well-integrated tannins add grip and longevity. Rich, structured, and full of character, it finishes firm and fresh, with the promise of graceful aging over the next decade.
Our 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon was crafted from hand-harvested grapes grown in gravel-rich, loamy soils on north-facing slopes cooled by ocean breezes. Each clone—planted between 1999 and 2002—adds complexity and depth. We ferment whole berries for 18 days to preserve purity of fruit, then age the wine in select French oak barrels after malolactic fermentation. A cooler vintage brought freshness and finesse, with gentle ripening delivering soft, supple tannins and vibrant fruit clarity.
