Holden Manz Reserve Chenin Blanc 2022 is a fuller-styled Western Cape Chenin Blanc that brings ripeness, floral lift, and steady freshness into balance. This is not a lean, sharp expression of the variety. Instead, it shows Chenin’s broader, more textured side while still keeping enough acidity to stay focused. For drinkers who enjoy white wines with both weight and energy, it lands in a very appealing place.
The wine shows a golden yellow hue and opens with aromas of kumquat, honeysuckle, quince, and citrus blossom. On the palate, it is medium- to full-bodied, with yellow fruit at the core, joined by notes of fresh ginger and pineapple. A fine line of crisp acidity keeps the rounded texture in check, carrying the wine through a long, powerful finish. It would pair especially well with roast chicken, glazed pork, mildly spiced curries, or richer seafood dishes where its fruit and freshness can meet the food comfortably.
Already drinking well, this is a Chenin Blanc with enough presence for the table and enough brightness to keep you coming back for another glass.
