Description

Mont Rochelle Sauvignon Blanc 2026 is a fruit-driven Franschhoek white blended with 14% Sémillon for added texture and breadth. The Sauvignon Blanc brings bright aromatics and freshness, while the Sémillon rounds out the mid-palate, giving the wine a little more weight without losing its mineral edge.

The nose opens with blackcurrant, passion fruit, gooseberry, and lime, supported by a broader tropical fruit character. On the palate, the wine is layered and mouth-filling, with fresh acidity and a mineral line keeping the texture focused. Six months on the lees adds integration and complexity, while the finish remains crisp and lively. It would pair well with grilled fish, seafood, goat cheese, fresh salads, or herb-driven dishes.

This is a Sauvignon Blanc blend made for early enjoyment, with enough texture and freshness to remain engaging over the next few years.
The grapes were harvested during the cool morning hours and carefully selected in the vineyard before gentle crushing and pressing. The juice settled for two days before being racked, with individual vineyard blocks fermented separately at different temperatures to preserve their distinct characteristics. The wines then remained on the lees for six months to build texture and complexity before blending. Fourteen percent Sémillon was incorporated into the final blend to broaden the mid-palate and add further complexity before bottling.
