Description
The nose opens with orange blossom, vanilla, and delicate stone fruit. On the palate, ripe pear, marzipan, and honeyed notes lead into a broad, velvety texture, followed by floral and savory detail. Despite the wine’s richness, vibrant acidity keeps the palate focused and carries the wine through a crisp, persistent finish. It would pair well with roast chicken, grilled fish, creamy seafood dishes, or gently spiced Mediterranean cuisine.
This is a mature, textural white blend with enough freshness and structure to remain compelling at the table while continuing to develop in bottle.
Marsanne from ocean-facing vineyards was also barrel fermented, after which a portion was blended with Roussanne and matured in clay amphorae to build texture. Verdelho from a vineyard planted in 1996 was barrel fermented separately before blending. Sulfur additions were kept low throughout the process.
