A refined Bordeaux-style red blend from Stellenbosch, Simonsig's Tiara 2019 opens with vivid aromas of ripe black cherry and juicy blackberry, layered with whispers of sweet baking spice and cedar. Silky tannins wrap the palate in elegance, carrying dark fruit, cassis, and subtle oak in perfect harmony. Its vibrant acidity adds lift and freshness, ensuring a long, polished finish. Crafted in a vintage marked by drought and intensity, each varietal was hand-harvested at peak ripeness, cold-soaked, and fermented with gentle pump overs or punch downs to preserve purity of fruit. After 14–18 days on skins, the wine matured for 18 months in barrel, with three careful rackings to refine its elegance. Small berries, dry conditions, and precision cellar work gave this blend its bold structure and exceptional depth.
