Description
Bold, spirited, and deeply expressive—just like its namesake. This cool-climate Petit Verdot bursts with violet, white pepper, and dark chocolate on the nose, unfolding into layers of toasted tobacco and cigar box on the palate. Fine-grained tannins and a firm structure make this a cellar-worthy red with serious aging potential. Named after Gyles Webb’s feisty granddaughter, Emily, this Reserve Collection wine from Elgin celebrates strength, heritage, and the next generation of excellence.
Hand-sorted berries were gently crushed and cold-soaked in stainless steel tanks, with careful pumpovers for gentle extraction. After two days of post-ferment maceration, the wine was pressed and racked into 100% new 225L French oak barrels, where it underwent malolactic fermentation and matured for 18 months, developing its powerful structure and refined depth.
