Description

Bright, elegant, and bursting with coastal freshness, this Elgin-grown Sauvignon Blanc showcases Tokara’s signature precision and purity. Aromas of lime blossom and passion fruit leap from the glass, unfolding into layers of lemongrass, blackcurrant leaf, and ripe greengage. The palate is taut and mineral-driven, with crystalline acidity and a long, clean finish that hints at exceptional ageing potential. A refined choice for warm afternoons and sophisticated pairings alike.
Crafted from hand-harvested grapes grown on our cool-climate Elgin Highlands farm, only the best free-run juice from select vineyard blocks makes it into this Sauvignon Blanc. After gentle whole-bunch pressing and cool fermentation in stainless steel, the wine rests on fine lees for nine months—building texture, elegance, and purity true to Tokara’s terroir-driven style.

Winemaker: Stuart Botha
South African Tokara winery, on the R310 outside Stellenbosch, is nestled among vineyards and olive groves on the crest of the Helshoogte Pass with sweeping views across False Bay and all the way to Table Mountain. With elevations of between 350m and 550m, soil profiles are of weathered sandstone and decomposed granite - the combination lending structure, perfume and longevity to their wines.
