An elegant rosé from Anthonij Rupert’s Riebeeksrivier estate, the Jean Roi Cap Provincial Rosé 2025 shows a delicate coral hue with aromas of ruby grapefruit, raspberry, and soft floral notes. A premium, elegant rosé made similar in style to the rosés of Provence, France. The individual parcels were harvested by hand at optimum ripeness and cooled overnight.
The grapes were destemmed and crushed and the juice immediately drained from the press. Only the finest quality free run juice, with minimal extraction of color was selected and settled.
Spontaneous fermentation by indigenous yeast occurred in both stainless steel tanks and older French oak barrels (6%). The wine spent 2 months on the lees to develop a full, well-rounded palate before being blended and bottled.

Anthonij Rupert Wines was founded on the farm L’Ormarins in Franschhoek. Originally owned by the late Anthonij Rupert, who passed away in 2001, the farm was taken over by his brother Johann Rupert in 2003.
It was Johann Rupert who constructed a state-of-the-art winemaking facility on the estate, and the beginnings of what was to become a sprawling enterprise with a focus on terroir specific wines.
