The Delheim Gewürztraminer 2025 is an aromatic and expressive Stellenbosch white, showcasing the estate’s long-standing expertise with this distinctive varietal. Under the direction of winemaker Nongcebo “Noni” Langa, Delheim continues to craft one of South Africa’s most recognizable and characterful Gewürztraminers.
The nose is intensely perfumed, offering classic notes of lychee, pear, and rose petals, layered with hints of Turkish delight and delicate spice. On the palate, the wine is rich yet vibrant, with juicy flavors of tropical fruit, orange zest, and honeycomb. The grapes were gently cold-pressed, using only the free-run juice to capture delicate aromatics and purity of fruit. Fermentation and maturation took place in stainless steel over approximately 8 months, preserving freshness and varietal expression. The wine was then lightly fined and filtered prior to bottling, ensuring clarity, balance, and a clean, expressive finish in line with Delheim’s classic style.
