Description
The nose opens with brooding blackcurrant and blackberry fruit, layered with nutmeg and clove. On the palate, red and black fruit work together in a medium-bodied frame that feels juicy yet controlled, with silky tannins carrying the wine through a long, dry, savory finish. A subtle oak note adds depth without getting in the way of the fruit. It would pair especially well with grilled meats, hearty stews, or aged cheeses, where its fruit, spice, and savory edge can settle naturally into the meal.
Already highly approachable, this is a Pinotage that offers immediate drinking pleasure while still holding enough structure to develop further over the near term.

The ultimate wine industry recognition of Michael's extraordinary contribution to Cape wine came in 2009, the year in which the industry celebrated 350 years of winemaking. He was one the pioneers honored with the 350 Celebration Scroll.
