Description

Leopard's Leap Classic Chenin Blanc is a bright, fruit-driven Western Cape white sourced from the Paardeberg district near Paarl and the Swartland. The style is fresh and approachable, with ripe fruit balanced by crisp acidity and enough lees-derived texture to give the wine a little extra weight through the mid-palate.

The nose opens with melon, guava, jasmine, and peach blossom. On the palate, summer melon and white peach lead into a clean, refreshing finish supported by lively acidity. Three months on the lees adds subtle body and structure without taking away from the wine’s easy-drinking character. It would pair well with sushi, grilled chicken, fresh summer salads, or dishes with a sweet-and-sour element.

Made for youthful enjoyment, this is a versatile Chenin Blanc with bright fruit and enough freshness to work equally well on its own or at the table.
The grapes were sourced from the Paardeberg district near Paarl and the Swartland and harvested at approximately 22.5 to 23° Balling. After destemming and crushing, fermentation took place at 13°C to preserve freshness and fruit character. The wine then remained on the lees for three months, adding body, texture, and structural support before bottling.
