Leopard's Leap Sauvignon Blanc 2026 is a bright, fruit-driven Western Cape white sourced from Robertson, Stellenbosch, and Franschhoek. The blend combines the fresher, more herbal character of earlier-picked Robertson fruit with the riper tropical profile of Stellenbosch and Franschhoek, creating a lively New World style with both freshness and breadth.
The nose opens with passion fruit, granadilla, peach, and pineapple, followed by Granny Smith apple and a zesty citrus-like freshness on the palate. The wine is crisp and medium-bodied, with extended lees contact adding enough texture to round out the fruit without dulling its energy. It would pair well with fresh salads, fruit salads, grilled fish, roast vegetables, or a relaxed summer braai.
Made for early enjoyment, this is a refreshing Sauvignon Blanc with bright tropical fruit and a clean, lingering finish.
The fruit was sourced from Robertson, Stellenbosch, and Franschhoek. Robertson grapes were harvested slightly earlier, at approximately 21° Balling, to retain higher natural acidity and bring fresher gooseberry and cut-grass notes. The riper Stellenbosch and Franschhoek fruit was picked at around 23° Balling to contribute greater passion fruit character. Fermentation took place at 11 to 13°C, followed by extended lees contact to build texture and support the wine’s fruit profile while maintaining freshness.
