Description
The nose is delicate yet expressive, revealing aromas of wild strawberry, red cherry, floral notes, and subtle spice. On the palate, the wine is soft, smooth, and vibrant, with fresh acidity carrying bright red fruit through to a finely textured finish. There’s an effortless drinkability here, balanced by enough structure and nuance to keep the wine intriguing from first sip to last.
Lightly chilled, this Pinot Noir pairs beautifully with duck, charcuterie, grilled salmon, mushroom dishes, or simply enjoyed on its own.
Fermentation took place at 24°C, with gentle pump-overs performed three times daily. Following fermentation, the free-run wine was transferred to older 300L French oak barrels for malolactic fermentation and 9 months of maturation, allowing texture and integration without overpowering the fruit.
The wine was lightly filtered before bottling, preserving purity and elegance.

This commitment to aesthetics is mirrored in the bottle, most notably in their flagship Full Circle - a Shiraz-led Rhône blend that is statistically one of the most consistently awarded wines in South African history. By blending fruit from the rocky mountain slopes of Welgegund with the structured shale-grown grapes of Waveren, Saronsberg crafts wines that balance power with an almost ethereal floral elegance, securing its place as a perennial SAWi (South African Wine Index) top producer.
