Description
The nose is intensely expressive, revealing layers of blackberry, blueberry, violet, and dark plum, intertwined with notes of charcoal, smoked meat, black olive, spice, and mineral earthiness. On the palate, the wine is powerful yet beautifully composed, with dense, supple tannins supporting a core of dark fruit and savory complexity. A distinctive charry mineral character runs through the wine, adding depth and intrigue to the long, persistent finish. Despite its concentration, the wine retains freshness and balance, ensuring exceptional aging potential.
Following fermentation, the wine matured for 16 months in third- and fourth-fill French oak barrels, deliberately avoiding excessive oak influence and allowing the vineyard character to remain the focal point. The wine then spent an additional year in bottle before release, contributing to its integration and complexity.
