Description

Inviting aromas of pineapple, stone fruit, and lime blossom with underlying floral notes. A full, rich palate of citrus and spice leads into a long, fresh honeyed finish.
Grapes were selected from various vineyards in Franschhoek and Swartland. The Chenin Blanc grapes were harvested by hand between 22.5˚ and 23.4˚ Balling with good harvesting conditions throughout, and the drought affected yields.
Fermentation took place in a stainless-steel tank at 14˚C. A small percentage of the wine was barrel fermented in older oak barrels and the rest in stainless steel tanks. The wine was left on its primary lees for at least six months and stirred on a regular basis to enhance flavors and mouth-feel.

Winemaker: Mari Kotzé
